Idler Management Administration - Explanation of Terms

Under Administration >> Idler Management in the left slider menu is a list of various functions, failures and filterable items which can be configured.

ACCESS ISSUES:

After selecting the Business, Group, Department and Area, a list of comments will appear as a drop-down option under the Accessibility column. Select the required comment and input the affected frame numbers. Press Save when complete.
E.g. “CV101 -Working at Heights - EWP required - Frame 40 to 48.
Press Save when complete.
When an idler is selected for replacement during an inspection, the above information will appear under Comments when the Work Management - Idlers Report is generated.

ACCESSIBILTY:

Captures issues related to specific areas on the conveyor where idlers need to be replaced. Allows for forward planning for shutdowns as the information collected at the time of inspection can be viewed in the Work Management - Idler Report.
E.g. “Working at Heights - EWP required”
“Guards to be removed - rattlegun required”
These saved comments/observations will appear under the Accessibility column when completing a record within Access Issues [see below].

CT ADMIN:

Associates conveyor frame numbers to cut-through sections for ease of locating.

FAILURE PRIORITIES:

Enables users to customise descriptions for prioritising failures and match them with a backing colour to appear in generated reports.

IDLER FAILURE TYPES:

Enables users to customise descriptions and priorities for idler failure types which may occur on site.

IDLER LOCATIONS:

Enables users to customise descriptions for idler locations using site specific vernacular. E.g. “Impact Area”, “Yard”, “Tripper”

IDLER MANUFACTURERS:

Enables users to capture a list of the idler manufacturers used on site.

IDLER TAG CUSTOMISATION:

In the Idler Tag Customisation window, the default setting, with only the Business selected, allows users to choose which idler configurations appear on site by checking the tick box to the right-hand side of the relevant image and pressing Save. The selected configurations will appear onscreen during an inspection for easy selection of the a faulty idler. This is a required field when saving an idler failure.
Further customisations can be created by also selecting the Area for the conveyors which have differing idler set-ups to the commonly occuring conveyors
E.g. “CV101 - 6 Roll Suspended Sets”

IDLER TYPES:

Enables users to capture idlers by type whether it be by material (E.g. Steel, Poly) or by application (E.g. Weightometer, Suspended Set)

STRUCTURE FAILURE TYPES:

Used to create types of failures relating to the structural components on the conveyor listed under Structure Types
E.g. “Damaged”, “Broken”, “Missing”

STRUCTURE TYPES:

Used to create types of structural components which exist on the conveyor apart from the idlers.
E.g. “Trough Frame”, “Return Bracket”, “Transition Frame”
