Unplanned Outage, 2018-03-01

This morning our hosted server infrastructure suffered a network outage which caused an outage to the PDS Software.

The specific cause of the outage was a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack on another customer of our service provider.

The outage started at 10.25am (AEDT) and was fully resolved at 10.38am (AEDT) for a total of 13 minutes.

CORRECTIVE ACTIONS

Our service provider has implemented new security practices to further prevent this type of attack from impacting the network in future.
