Laying out is a process of updating failure records to indicate replacement stock has been pre-positioned at the conveyor in preparation for an upcoming maintenance activity to replace that failure. There are two options available for laying out failures.
An idler or structure failure can be marked as laid out in two ways.
Using the toolbar
Navigate to the relevant area, locate and select the failure/s to delete, hold down the shift key to select multiple consecutive. Click on the Laid Out button on the toolbar. Click OK on the confirmation message.
Using the Edit Idler screen
If you want to check the idler information before marking it laid out, you can click on the vertical ellipse icon on the record row, click on the Edit button, click the Laid Out radio button and click on Save. Click OK on the confirmation message.
