The PDS software supports different measurement systems (for example Imperial and Metric). The measurement system in use is configured at a Business level, so it is possible to have (for example) one business running under the metric system, and another running under the imperial system.
The selected measurement system supports a range of different types of measurement units, such as millimetres, inches, °C, °F for example. These units are configurable.
Once the units have been configured they can be assigned to the relevant measurement parameters. For example, 'Length' can be linked to millimetres within the metric system while also linked to inches within the imperial system.
Configuration for the measurement system is carried out in the various dialogs under System Administration -> Unit of Measurement.
